Education is one of the most critical components of making a positive change in a young person’s life and creating sustainable change in the communities where they live and work. Through the Global Effect Education Program, young adults are provided opportunities they could only dream about in the past that empower them to break the cycle of poverty mentally, spiritually, socially, and economically.
We realized that the students who had the “right stuff” to be a positive role model and leader in their community had no financial resources or options to further their education beyond high school and obtain the knowledge base necessary to be a great leader in their community. This is why we started the Global Effect Education Program. |
Leadership AcademyStudents can first enter our Education Program as high school seniors by participating in our 36-week Leadership Academy. Participants go through an extensive application and interview process before being accepted into the program. Once selected, students receive spiritual discipleship, character and leadership development, and soft skills training. Classes are held for 3.5 hours every Saturday for an entire school year.

UniversityIf students successfully complete the Leadership Academy, they become eligible for our Higher Education Program and are given the opportunity to attend either a private university or our Global Effect Career Institute. Earning a professional degree or acquiring a skilled trade gives them greater ability to break the cycle of poverty in their lives and families.

Sponsorships
We rely on financial sponsorships from donors to scholarship the students who attend university. Sponsorships cover the cost of tuition, books, transportation, hardship assistance, ongoing discipleship, counseling and more! We have many students still in need of sponsors.

Student Housing ProgramGlobal Effect’s Housing Program provides a safe place where at-risk students can live while focusing on their studies and growing spiritually at no charge to the student.
|
Global Effect Career InstituteIn August 2022, we launched our 15-month Career Institute, which focuses on 4 different career paths: English as a Second Language, Executive Secretary, Bookkeeping, and Computer Technician. In addition to career-specific classes, all students go through our Leadership and Character Development Program, along with discipleship and spiritual care.

Counseling SupportOur Psychology Department staff diligently care for the mental, spiritual, and emotional well-being of our students in the Leadership Academy, Higher Education Program (including the Student Housing Program), and our Career Institute.
