Through our Higher Education Sponsorship Program, impoverished youth in the Dominican Republic are being empowered to break the cycle of poverty by earning a professional degree while being developed, discipled, and deployed as change agents in their homes and communities.
Since launching the program in 2016, we now have 150 active students pursuing degrees at a local university. 35 students have already graduated with their professional degrees and have moved on to advancing their careers. These inspirational students are fighting to break the cycle of poverty by earning a professional degree or acquiring a trade and developing on all levels of life.
Together we can empower these courageous young adults through a long-term investment in their social, spiritual, and educational experiences. When you sponsor a student, you help cover the cost of tuition, books, basic supplies, hardship assistance, ongoing discipleship, counseling and more!

3 SPONSORSHIP LEVELS:
Students are divided into 3 sponsorship levels based on the degree they have selected. Each tier has a different cost and timeline for sponsorship. The cost of college registration, tuition, books, materials, supplies, transportation, lunch and snacks, as well as ongoing spiritual and psychological care, mentorship, and career placement by our Global Effect staff.
Tier 1:
$160 for 48 months (or $7,500)
Tier 2:
$175 for 52 months (or $9,100)
Tier 3:
$270 for 52 months (or $14,000) or $250 for 69 months (or $17,100)

(Donations can also be made in a one-time payment or divided into monthly, semi-annual or annual payments.)
Tier 1:
Degrees include Accounting, Bio-Analysis, Business Administration, Education, Marketing, Nursing, Tourism and Psychology (i.e. School Counselor, Hospital Psychologist, Human Resource positions, and various other positions in companies.) *Remember to write down the ID Number of the student you would like to sponsor.
Tier 2:
Degrees include Architecture, Civil, Industrial, and System Engineering as well as Law
